All right guys, I’m gonna give you a secret. This is the secret to get more out of your life, to be successful, to do great. You ready? Come on. Come close. The secret to success is consistency. Yes, it’s as simple as that. People who are successful are consistent in the habits that they do. You wanna lose weight while you are consistent about what you eat in the kitchen.
You wanna get swollen. Strong people who do that are consistent about working out. You want to be a better dancer while those people are consistent about practicing dancing every single day. Consistency is literally the secret sauce for success and the power of consistency lies on the compound effects every single day. If you’re doing what you need to do to hit your goal, by default,
you’re going to get there. That is literally what you need to do. And everyone who’s done anything hard in their life, whether it’s losing weight, whether it’s gaining that body that you want, whether it’s opening up a business, it’s that consistent performance every single day. Even when you’re feeling bad, that will get you there. And it’s hard to be consistent.
It is a struggle. There are powers that are going against you. There are trials you’re gonna have to get through. There may be times when you don’t feel like doing it. Here are five tips that I recommend to help you with your consistency to get you over that hump so you can achieve what you want to achieve. Number one, set realistic goals.
Consistent can be achieved when you have a goal that’s realistic that you can get to. Now, I know that I’m never going to be a basketball player. I know, I know that’s not a realistic goal, but I do know a realistic goal for me is to live a healthy life and to have a certain weight. I know that goal is achievable and doable and my mind will get there if I can do those consistent things.
So you break down that goal into small steps. You take those steps, but you wanna make sure that goal that you have is realistic. Cause otherwise you’re not going to believe in it. No matter how much you think you are, you’re not going to. Number two, create a plan of action. You’d be surprised how many people have a goal but have no idea how to get there.
It’s crazy. You can’t get to the destination without a road to get there. If you want to lose weight, have that plan to lose weight. If you want to get that body, have that plan to get that body. If you want to have that practice or that business, have that plan to do that. And guess what? If you don’t know how to get there,
there’s literally sources everywhere. Whether it’s YouTube, whether it’s the internet, maybe it could be a friend who achieved the goal that you achieved. Maybe it’s a book that can give you an idea of what you need to do. Don’t have that as an excuse to not have that plan of action. Number three, you have to hold yourself accountable. Whether it’s finding a friend or a family member,
maybe it’s posting your progress on an app or on social media. Find some ways to keep yourself accountable. I cannot tell you how many times people try to lose weight. They get close, but they fall off track because they have no one to keep them accountable. Have an accountability buddy. There are so many studies out there that show that having some sort of accountability buddy can allow you to get to your goals easier and to make sure you don’t fall off the bandwagon.
Number four, persevere through setbacks. There are gonna be days when you’re like, F this. I don’t want to do this anymore or, Forget this, I’m too tired, or I don’t, I’m feeling terrible. Let me just have a cheat day. Those are my favorite days because I know it’s those days that count when you are down, when you’re feeling bad,
when you don’t wanna work out. Those are the days when you know you can push through and I feel the best. It’s not the days when you feel great and you wanna get things done. Those are important, but that’s not the key point. It’s those days when you’re feeling bad, when you don’t wanna work out, when you don’t wanna do that goal,
you don’t wanna study. Those are the times when you need to push through, cuz eventually you’ll build up that muscle of consistency and perseverance or those days will become few and far between. And then number five, celebrate your progress. Hey, if you’ve gotten halfway to your goal, celebrate that. If you are third way to your goal, celebrate that.
You need to celebrate those successes. Your body needs a reward and your mind needs a reward. So don’t forget to enjoy the journey, but also celebrate those successes on your way to your destination. Listen, if you’re hoping to improve your life, literally consistency is the way to do it. Implement these tips and I think you’ll be happy with what you can do and you’ll be able to achieve the goals that you want to have.
